Square footage estimate is based on 12" tubing spacing (square footage estimate for 8" tubing spacing in brackets). 24 Volt Thermostat Upgrade - HRTH24V(upgrade) Sale Price includes (1) HRTH24V 24 Volt Thermostat (replaces HRTH110V line voltage thermostat). This upgrade is required for multiple zone systems that use a zone pump controller. Order (1) HRTH24V(upgrade) per HRFH pkg. (also order the appropriate zone pump controller based on the total number of zones, see Zone Pump Controllers below).

Additional HRH Package Upgrades

Additional Components:

Expansion Tank - Expansion tanks with auto-fill valves are recommended for all closed HRFH systems. Use HRMVSFT109 for systems with heat sources up to 50,000 BTU's, HRMVSFT110 for systems from 50,000 to 100,000 BTU's and HRMVSFT111 for systems over 100,000 BTU's. Standard expansion tanks (without auto-fill valves) can be used for closed systems which have the auto-fill valve installed on another component. Use HRMVSEX15 for systems with heat sources up to 50,000 BTU's and HRMVSEX30 for systems from 50,000 to 100,000 BTU's.

Thermostatic Mixing Valve - (HRTV4, HRTH4th, HRTV5 or HRTV5th) is required on HRFH systems if the heat source cannot supply the lower temperature supply water needed for floor heat (typically 90 F to 125 F). The TMV is a manually set valve installed between the main manifold supply and return lines that blends return loop water with supply water to maintain the desired supply water temperature (almost ALL HRFH zones require a TMV).

Pressure Test Kit - (MVSPTKCM) includes air valve w/cap, 100 PSI air gauge (2.0") and pipe fittings with 1" MPT adapter to connect directly to ProRadiant SS manifold inlet ball valves for pressure testing or to pressurize tubing during concrete pour.

Zone Pump Controllers are used to combine multiple radiant floor heat pkgs for creating a multiple zone system for homes, offices, etc. A Zone Pump Controller (HRCP431S, HRCP432, HRCP433, HRCP434, and HRCP436) is the brain of radiant systems that controls 2, 3, 4 or 6 zones (the last digit in the zone pump controller part number is the number of zones). When one of the zone thermostats calls for heat, the zone controller starts the zone pump and can send a control signal to start the heat source.

After selecting the appropriate HRFH pkgs. for all the zones of your multiple zone HRFH system, select the appropriate zone pump controller and add (1) HRTH24V(upgrade) (24 volt thermostat upgrade) per zone (zone pump controllers require 24 volt thermostats instead of the 110 volt thermostats included in the std. HRFH pkgs).

For example: A four zone HRFH system for a home (two 575 feet zones and two 380 feet zones, @ 8" tubing spacing) requires:
